Just five days left until I will embark upon a brave new world.  A little place called Nicaragua (for all those who have not yet heard, my financial troubles have been resolved.  There is nothin left that stands inbetween me and central america). Yes, once again God proves his faithfulness.  On that note: This past sunday I sang in church...in spanish... while playing the piano.  Needless to say it was very funny. Oh yes, as one might expect to occure when a person is doing such a thing for the first time in public (about 2,000 member church) I accidently struck a wrong cord.  Without a thought, I didn't even try to play it off.  "Oppps" followed by a giggle, then a correct word just blurted out of my mouth.  Oh well, maybe I'll be less nervous next time (if there is a next time).

For all you vanguard kids: I died my hair dark.  Again, a comical aspect in my life.

So the cleaning lady is comming tomarrow... why does my mom insist on my cleaning up for the cleaning lady to come.  Whats up with that?  Why should I pre-clean before the lady comes to clean?  Oh the irony.

Missy's my name, cleaning is my game.

Wow- "home" again.  There is nothing like the feel of the muggy dc air against my skin.  As crazy as it sounds, I absolutely love it.  DC summers are amazing!  Another thing I don't really realize that I miss while relaxing on the beaches of the west is my family.  There're good people...

It sounds like everything is good... well, just when I've started to get comfy, today the ish hit the fan.  I got in a car accident today, which was my fault... Due to this I am not able to drive any vehicle while I'm home (more time to bond with the living room couch)... I don't have any money that I need to go to Nicaragua (and might not be able to go anyways... I might have to stick around and get a job to pay off the financial damage done to the insurance)... Try as I may to find the materials I need for my floor next year, no stores have what I need, or they have it in the wrong color, or it is too expensive...Lastly, I have no money.  I really should stop complaining though, cause there are abused, starving children in Nicaragua who have it much worse than me.  Thank you God for my many blessings.

On a further note, I think the medical field should be more selective about who they let take blood and do I.V's.  The nurse had the needle in me for like 2 minutes, poking around in a variety of directions only to not find a vain.  It was a very interesting experience.

Ahhhh, the eggnog is brewing, the yule log is blazing, the chior is singing, and the theatre kids are auditioning... Christmas/end of the semester is in the air.

Tonight I embarked upon the pure delight one can have while encountering two flawlessly baked cookies sandwhiching delicious ice cream.  Yes, I went to ditty reese.  Better than the Ice Cream though is the price, only one dollar.  And yes, it gets even better, the complany, a group of gals from my floor.  We ate, we played arcade game, and we left.  Oh what a night.

I got a new digital camera and am obsessed with it.  Thanks mom and dad!

I lost something very important.  My mind is consumed with anxiety and worthy.  I need to find it tonight.  God please help me?

I have realized my only point of temptation in my efforts to obstain from chocolate is chocolate cookie dough Ice Cream.

Vital Stat of the day (I thought I'd try one from the USA this time) : 85 percent of men feel that sex is their right in a marriage (i.e, the issue of Marital rape)

Hi all.  Wow, its been a long time since I posted.  Funny how that is the first line of most of my entries.  Anywaz,  lots of things have happened...

I gave up chocolate.  Yes, Hannah, Colleen, and I are all doing it until the last day of finals.  First to lose has to buy the others jamba juice.

I learned to trust people: Some of my girl's insisted that they be in charge of getting my GYRAD date.  At first I said "no," cause I wanted to pick someone who could help me and not need a lot of attention (sounds bad, I know, but that is the role of the date to the RA).  Anywaz, I found out that they got me a sophmore who was a complete stranger, and I was like "dangit, I should have picked my own date" (I am a jr).  But I ended having a great time.  I don't think anyone I might have picked would have been better.  Thanks chels and jes for having good judgement.

I have decided that ORBITS GUM, wintermint flavor, is like my new drug... it is so addicting.  I simply smell it sitting on my desk and can't resist chewing it.  I get a rush every time.  Hard to talk about.

I have also realized that I miss doing shows.  I thought I didn't, but I do.  I guess I am not as bad a theatre major as I thought.

Vital Stat of the Day:  There are over 5 million children involved in child labour in the country of Thailand.

The person whom this entry pertains to doesn't read this site, that is why I can freely discuss my thoughts. I have a friend who is both wise and one of the best guys I have met in my vida.  He is the kind of guy who will often make comments which are very black and white.  If you know me well, you know that on many issuse, I as well tend to be pretty black in white as well(however, exceptions have been made to this in the past.)  Anywaz, the nature of our friendship is such that he will make a comment of the type mentioned before, and I will argue with him.  Although I often try to show him the other side of the topic, at the end of the day I usually agree with him on most issues (its the devil's advocate in me.)  Anywaz, he often speaks about the evils of chick flicks, due to the direct effect they have on the viewer in the preceeding moments, even at times hours, of watching the movie.  He claims it gives us gals too high of expectations on guys, and throws us single ladies into a slight, but still signicicant depression.  This topic has been brought up at least 3 times while we have hung out, and I always fight him on it.  Today I found out that he is right.  Yes, I said it, I am wrong.  I think I will save the chick flicks until after my season of singleness has passed.  I can be quite content watching action and suspence movies until then.  However, I will make exceptions when I am in groups of gals, simply because I feel the real danger of getting engrossed in these movies is when you are alone... its kinda like drinking alone.

Therefore, I would like to publically say that I am wrong and he is right.  I am posting this here as therapy for my pride, because I would never be able to call him and tell him that he is right.

I am very aware that this is grossly long, therefore no one will prob read it, however, like I said before, it is therapy... so there's that.

Missy's my name, dealing with my pride is my game.

Vital Stat of the day: There are 1652 languages in India, 1449 of those languages do not have any portion of the Bible in their language.
